  • Rolland Dudemaine of Green Hills Software is reviving a Qt 5 port to the INTEGRITY Real-Time OS.
  • From the Qt Release Team meeting: "We need to postpone the beta release again, (the) new target (will be) 12.11.2015."
  • Support for MSVC 2005, 2008 and 2010 will be dropped in Qt 5.7

Changing of the Guard

Björn Breitmeyer of KDAB is stepping down as the Windows Embedded Compact port Maintainer and has nominated Andreas Holzammer (also of KDAB) as his successor.  Andreas is also being nominated as an Approver, since Maintainers must also be Approvers.

Qt World Summit 2015 and Beyond...

There is nothing new to report on the Qt front this week as all efforts (and focus) were on the Qt World Summit in Berlin.

Qt 5.5.1 release is still on hold and due to the Summit and there has been no word as to the expected release date.
