-The Qt Company has announced that Qbs (an alternate build system for Qt) will be deprecated. Its support will end at the end of 2019.

- Lars Knoll has announced on the development mailing list that Qt will "likely" switch to CMake from qmake for building Qt, starting with Qt 6.0. Since Qt 6.0 is still a long way off, that decision is not yet final. As you can imagine, there is quite a long list of replies on the matter. Read them here:
