Intel® RealSense™ technology allows developers to create the next generation of natural, immersive and intuitive applications—including hand and finger tracking, facial analysis, speech recognition, augmented reality and 3D scanning. Traditionally applied to tablets and laptops, RealSense is being used with virtual reality, robotics, and drones.
Faced with the challenge of teaching developers how to use RealSense technology, Intel collaborated with ICS to create an application that offers interactive lessons covering capabilities of the RealSense hardware and software. The tool helps developers learn how to implement the user experience guidelines in a RealSense application. With a real-time feedback mechanism to gauge the impact of working with different form factors and fields-of-view, developers can not only see the code for using a RealSense feature, they can play with an interactive demo of that feature.
